No Black Hat SEO, Austin!

SEO Black Hat Slippery Slope

Austin, you can think of yourself as a white hat kind of an SEO guy who occasionally dips into black hat, but it’s a slippery business.

Scareware is a new blackhat trick that’s so easily accomplished that it might be tempting to someone already in the black hat neighborhood of SEO, Austin.

Black Hat guys use fairly simple redirect codes to make it appear to the user that he’s on the road to a reliable site, which shows up high in the rankings because it’s well-known. Then the user is quickly redirected to the black hat site, which gains in hits and clicks and malicious meanness from this evil technique of SEO, Austin.

So, No Black Hat SEO, Austin

It’s just so easy to slide into that sort of thing; when you never see your victims, it’s easy to forget they’re there – but not for the FTC, apparently, which has filed suit against these shenanigans of SEO, Austin, and it could happen to anyone, even you. These black hat guys are finding that life’s not as much fun when your assets are frozen.
